Commander’s Note
Greetings Victory Post 70. It has been a few weeks since I last sent out a newsletter, as my goal is never to spam or overwhelm you. A lot has been happening at the Post, and between now and the end of the year we have quite a bit coming up.
Our gun raffle is almost finished. If you haven’t secured a ticket and are interested, please do so as soon as possible — we will likely be drawing for the winners any day now.
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving we will be offering Turkey Bowling, which is always a lot of fun, followed by Rick and Randy up front playing acoustic music for us. Our annual Thanksgiving Lunch is this Saturday beginning at noon, and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
On Saturday, November 29th we will be hosting a Double Elimination Euchre Tournament with a $20 buy-in. More details will be posted online and at the Post within the next few days.
Bar Bingo and Taco Tuesday continue to be a success, and we plan to spice things up a bit. For every game entered next week, you will receive a ticket when you purchase your cards. After the first four rounds, a ticket will be drawn — and if you're holding the winning number, you’ll receive a prize.
Our Auxiliary has created a beautiful custom quilt that is now available for raffle. Tickets are on sale in the Post Canteen for $1 each or 6 for $5.
Our next American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on December 28th. I will have more details to share in the coming days.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Post. Enjoy the rest of your week!
